A body was been found in grassland at Epping.
The body was discovered next to the Bunnings store on Cooper Street just after 3pm on Friday, a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
Police have yet to determine the exact cause of death.
Police declined to comment on reports that an explosion was heard in the area before the body was found, but a Country Fire Authority spokesman said small grass fire was reported and crews had handed the case over to police.
